Hi there! My name is Chris Scherting. Or as most people say it, chrisscherting. You can also think of me as your Aunt Chris!

I have helped my niece and nephews with their resumes and job searches. I have helped the kids of my friends. I have also helped my friends! Helping people with their resume and job search has been a hobby of mine since 2009.

My hope is that by writing all these things down in a bunch of blogs, it will make it easier for me to help many more people. Beyond St. Louis where I live.

I know there are lots of kids out there who don’t have an Aunt Chris to help. Like you! Maybe your parents don’t have any connections in the business world. Maybe you are a first generation immigrant. Maybe you have to work to help your parents pay bills.

I want to help you find good jobs that pay well and have good benefits so you can have a nice life. I want to help you see the opportunities out there beyond your own neighborhood. I want to help you consider different kinds of jobs than you are today.

I am here to help but you are going to have to do the work.

My tips may sound nerdy. It’s up to you to hold yourself accountable and listen to my advice. At the end of the day, you have to be true to yourself. So, if any of my suggestions pushes you too far out of your comfort zone or doesn't feel right for your personality, that's ok. As they say on American Idol "make it your own." Do your own version like Adam Lambert!
